NYLP Strategic Priority:

To participate with employers to raise skills levels across the county.

The Richmondshire Area Learning Partnership is seeking to:

• Develop contacts with EDO’s and SRIP Theme Champions including those supporting sub-regional themes e.g. renaissance to ensure local provision is planned to support economic priorities and to ensure that learning and skills issues are sufficiently taken into account in economic development.

• Realign the Business Sub Group to work more closely with local Business Associations and Economic Development (RDC) in order to identify and respond to the workforce development needs of the local business community.

• Maintain representation on Local Strategic Partnership Executive and local business forums.

• Provide a focus for the dissemination of information on workforce development opportunities.
