NYLP Strategic Priority:

To promote Lifelong Learning for everyone.

NYLP Targets

• Agree a countywide adult learning strategy that promotes collaborative planning and ensures the efficient use of resources, maximises the use of available funding streams, reduces duplication and provides good quality learning opportunities available to all adults
• Establish an adult learning strategy and resources group for key partners and organisations
• Support local ALP’s in the development of collaborative delivery plans
• Work with the North Yorkshire Strategic Partnership to develop the education and skills theme within the North Yorkshire Community Plan
• Support the development of the SRIP infrastructure to ensure education and training providers are appropriately involved in the development of projects and decision making
• Ensure the maximisation of funding and alignment, where appropriate, between learning provision and skills need in a local area
• Develop an infrastructure within which equality, diversity and social inclusion are promoted throughout the development of Lifelong Learning opportunities
• Establish a forum for the development of Higher Education and access to Higher Education opportunities in North Yorkshire.
